Dozens of designers, students, and industry luminaries gathered at our offices earlier this month for the first AIGA Open Studio of the Fall season. Sequence was honored when asked not only to kick off the organization’s annual event but also to create the identity for the 2009 season. The cropped photo, playful arrow, and bold magenta sign combine to create an iconographic design befitting this year’s theme of Interact.
Throughout the evening, guests nibbled and sipped while our speakers — strategy directors Ryan McCormack and Tac Leung, senior designer Vasco Morelli, and creative director Heidi Reinfeld — talked about how we create useful, usable, and desirable brand experiences for our clients. Visitors’ questions ranged from, “Do you do the programming for the iPhone apps you design?” to “How long did it take you to come up with that product name?” to (our favorite) “Are you hiring?”
